Her work history included the Internal Revenue Service, Shell Gas Station and ended with Kroger Company where she retired after 20 years of employment.
Jennie could make anyone smile and will always be remembered for her outgoing personality. She shared an unbreakable bond with her sister Florence. As children they had hopes of becoming truck drivers. She loved to travel and had a passion for driving, she was always down for a road trip. Jennie was known for her crafty ways to get things done. Jennie was the epitome of selflessness. To Jennie there was no such thing as a stranger, she was a friend to many. Whether it was her car or a person, Jennie was famous for giving out nicknames and they were always spot on! Once she knew you, she came up with a funny nickname for you that will stick with you forever. For example: Shoeface, Cleetus, Little Bill, Hector and Gizmo.
Jennie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. With a warm heart and unbiased mind, she opened her home which she referred to as “The Headquarters” to anyone; whether it was a family gathering or holiday, Jennie always made you feel welcome.
Jennie battled illness with unwavering courage for 2 years. She never lost her remarkable strength despite how she was feeling. She still managed to make you laugh while continuing to spread wisdom.
