Suddenly and tragically, on June 17, 2021, the sun set for Trent ” TJ” Martin Faulkner, Jr. He was just 19.
The beloved son of Trent M. Sr., and Hope Elizabeth (nee ‘White) Faulkner, he was a lifelong Glen Burnie resident. “TJ” was a young man of singular character and multiple talents. He worshiped his Lord and Savior at Bethel AME in Baltimore and was a recent graduate of Severna Park High School.
Trent competed on the high school Bocce team and was instrumental in setting up the play that would win them the State Championship. He was in the SciFi Club and enjoyed mathematics, particularly Algebra. It was said, “he LOVED numbers!” “TJ” was not just a critical thinker, he was an athlete who had earned his yellow belt in Karate and he was also fond of bowling. His talents included music and a love for jazz and he was a self taught keyboard player with aspirations of playing in a band with his close friends. “TJ” was an “All American” man who is loved by many.
He will be dearly missed by his loving aunts and uncles, Earl White III, Bruce White, Mary Lowry, Amerine Lowry, William Faulkner, Jr. (Yvonne), Ruben Faulkner, Elliott Faulkner (Angela), Janice C. He will be cherished in the memories of his cousins, Rainelle Dawson, Jovaughn Carmichael, Jordan White, Jeremy White, Jasmyn Durgan, Nneka Bonner, Michelle Lowry, Matthew Lowry, Jamil Faulkner, Odell Bonner, III, Michelle Faulkner, Sherie Faulkner, Sadie Faulkner, Zoe Faulkner, Ian Faulkner, Phoebe Faulkner, Iris Faulkner, Ayo Faulkner, Brayden Dawson and Destiny Dawson; his godmothers, Adrienne Morris, Berdina Dillard, Kimberly Nelson and Erica Ranford; his godfathers, Kenton Pillo, Abdul Ali, and Kareem Mohammad; his great aunts, Mary Frances White, Fannie Early, Ella Lynnette Ficklin and Ethel Lowry; his great uncles, James Ficklin, Val Elmore and Shannon Early; and his god uncle, Clarence Dillard Sr. He will be forever remembered by his close friends Shane Hampson and Will Schwartz as well as all those who were blessed to know him.
From “TJ’s” mom and dad; From their sons heart……..
My life isn’t full of rainbows and butterflies
But if it was then it would be as fun as the Fourth of July
If every day was as bright as the sun
Maybe the taste of the outside would be fun
I know that I can try my best and it’s going to be hard
But if I start now in life then I will get very far
– Trent Faulkner, Jr.
