Tomasino Gloria Robinson was born to the late Gloria Robinson & Thomas Robinson Sr. In Charleston, West Virginia on January 24,1953, the Lord called Tomasino home on Thursday, February 15, 2024. She’s now reunited in the gates of heaven with her Mother: Gloria Robinson her father: Thomas Robinson Sr. her brother: Thomas Robinson Jr. her four sisters Donna Jo Robinson, Dianna Simpson, Katherine “Khaki” Robinson, Brenda Wyly, her grandson Dontai Robinson Jr. & her husband Lawrence Sloan.
Tomasino was raised in the village of Lincoln Heights, she attended Mount Notre Dame where she graduated in 1971, she furthered her education at the University of Cincinnati college where she received her bachelor’s degree in 2000. She gained employment at Frisch’s, Watts taxi, Head start of Forest Park as their administrator, she became an entrepreneur of her own home daycare center where she cared for numerous children, in her final years she was employed at Amazon warehouse. In 1975 Tomasino met and married Lawrence Sloan they raised five children together Dontai, Robert, April, Larry and Lori. She loved cooking and baking for her loved ones, she loved dancing and listening to music. She was a true believer in God, and in September 2007 she joined Rockdale Baptist Church, Pastor Rousseau A. O’Neal III. She was an amazing mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
Tomasino is survived by her loving children her sons Dontai Robinson Sr, Larry Robinson and Robert Sloan, her daughters Lori Sloan and April Sloan, her siblings one brother Robert “Robbie” Robinson (Tonji) eight sisters Renae “Nazy” Day-Irving, Valerie Robinson, Theresa “TC” North, Angela Sparks (Mike) Mary “Minnie” Robinson (Melvin), Lisa Robinson, Marlo Lampkin and Myheart “Mea” Sleet (Anthony), 20 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
