Thomas Reed Caldwell, Jr., son of Thomas Sr. and Ollie, was
born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 1, 1924. He departed
this life on July 30, 2012.
Thomas was married to Juanita Price Caldwell on January
17, 1943. To this union, one son was born, Thomas Reed III
and three daughters, Donna Rae, Teresa Jo and Anita Louise.
He was preceded in death by his four sisters, Aliene White,
Mary Ellen Hughes, Thelma Davis and Helen Green, and
three brothers, Russell, Woodruff and Harold.
He received his education in Camp Dennison where there was
only one room, and the building is now called the ?Schoolhouse
Restaurant?. He attended high school in Terrace Park where he
actively participated in running track.
He joined and was a faithful member of Calvary United
Methodist Church, Milford, Ohio early in life, and attended
regularly until his illness. He served in the church as an Usher,
and faithful Trustee for many years at Calvary. Later, he moved
to Atlanta, Georgia.
Thomas loved bowling, golfing, bartending, and loved to see a
well manicured lawn and vegetable garden. He worked diligently
at The Ohio Gravel as a plant operator, Xomox as a
Special Valve assembler and for the President of Xomox at his
home.
He leaves to mourn: his four children, Thomas III (Jackie),
Loveland, Ohio, Donna and Teresa, Atlanta, Georgia, and
Anita (Minister Lansing Holman), Ledgewood, New Jersey;
seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brother-inlaw,
Isaiah Hillman; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He will especially be missed by his dear friends, Betty Friarson
and William White.
