I just wanted to share how sad I still am over the loss of Sylvester passing. I first met him at work. I would come in on my days off to talk and work alongside him. He'd always share stories about his upcoming, his addiction almost costing him his life; meeting someone who helped him see that God was on his side. There was never a dull moment with the Playa from the Himalayas (as we call him here at work...that nickname came from him and other coworkers by the way lol). This man always made me feel better when we would talk about God at work. I'd even talk to Mrs. Karen a few times when she would call, asking was Sylvester here at work. I have a bunch of wonderful memories with him. It was kind of hard hearing about his passing, and he prayed and had done his research about this surgery. Unfortunately, God needed another warrior at his side. I pray for peace for his family, and to know that he's always beside ALL of you; crackin' jokes and uplifting your spirit until you all are together again. Miss you a bunch Sly. Rest in Heaven.

My condolence goes out to the whole family. Words can not express the love I have for the Woods. Ronnie, Junior and Greg were the big brothers that I never had. I will always remember the times I stayed or visited at the Woods house it was some of the best times of my childhood. I would not be the man I am today without the love and support they gave to me over those years. Although we haven't been in touch in recent years I've enjoyed the few conversation Junior and I have had over years. He was a true Man of God. Cousin you will be missed!!! Love Rodney

Brother Syl was my man, My late brother Anthony and I grew up across from him whenever we spent time at our Grandparent's the Hatcher's on 5200 Whetzel Ave, in Madisonville. I have loads of joyful memories. Often we would ride to the same church we attended at Zion Baptist. I remember the after church football games, diving in the piles of leaves in the field adjacent to his home between the Duncan's. I recall the oldest sister being called Queenie, Ronny, then Sylvester, and Greg. Greg hosted a campout in the backyard with tents. We snuck out in the middle of the night walking the neighborhood before returning to our tents to not be discovered. Sylvester kept in touch with me, and was present at my late Brother Anthony's memorial at Crossroads in November of 2018. What a jovial personality Sylvester had, always bringing cheer and warmth to any room. To the Family, and to Brother Greg who I was closer in age to, Heaven truly has a Angel, and I am blessed and forever grateful for your presence my Brother Sylvester. Gregory L. Dear Karen may the peace of The Lord be with you as your loving hubby Sylvester is with the Lord watching from above. This is just a temporary separation and not a permanent one as Rapture of The Lord is just around the corner, and according to The Bible, the dead shall rise first followed by us who would be living and then we all get reunited in Christ and staying with Him forever. We thank The Lord for the life of Sylvester and Praise His Holy Name. Amen Dr Pradip Kumar Biswas from India ( former ANCF Church Columbus Ohio member)
