Sonja L. Leach

Sonja Latisha Leach was born June 13, 1974 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Brenda Leach Willis and the late Oss Stallings, Jr. She departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2015. At the age of 25, her father passed on to eternity. She always missed him as there was a void in her life.
Sonja matriculated through Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Withrow High School in 1992. She was a very popular student who actively participated in social organizations and cheerleading. She was also a member of the Dux Femina Honor Sorority, a select group of junior and senior high young women with outstanding abilities and academic standing. After gra- duation, she attended Tennessee State University and later Xavier Univer- sity, with one year before earning a degree. She looked forward to being a teacher.
Sonja worked and excelled in the customer relations field. Employers quickly recognized her intelligence and her extraordinary ability to commu- nicate effectively with customers and clients. She started working at age 14 and spent 26 years in the workforce.
Sonja enjoyed traveling, studying God’s word and spending time with family and friends. She truly lived life to the fullest. She didn’t meet any strangers.
Sonja was added to the Lord’s Body at the Kennedy Heights Church of Christ at an early age. She remained faithful to the Lord throughout her life.
Sonja will always be remembered for her kind heart, humble spirit, faith in God, perseverance, humor and the love she had for her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Sonjraya and Jayla; mother, Brenda Willis (Charles); younger brother, Marco Howard Brown (Loni-deceased); one niece, Leah; two nephews, Marco Jr. and Marcus; one grandmother, Esther Stallings; two half brothers, Earl Chambers and Corell Stallings; two stepsisters, Kitoria Fernanders and Brandi Willis; one step- brother, Kaland Fernanders; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
