Sherman Lee Stallworth was born on October 31, 1932, in Beatrice, Alabama to the Late John and Leola Anderson Stallworth who preceded him death. Sherman departed this life on November 3, 2023, under Hospice Care at his sister and brother-in-law home.
Sherman was affectionately known as “Buddy Peter” by family and friends, he moved to Cincinnati in the 1970’s with his beloved wife Geneva who preceded him in death. Sherman was a very talented Construction Worker, always on top of someone’s roof or pouring concrete to repair a driveway. Sherman enjoyed working with his brothers on many construction jobs.
Sherman loved hunting, watching the National Geographic channel, and going fishing with loved ones and his late wife. He always loved traveling to Alabama visiting family and friends; also; visiting his in-laws in Chicago until he could not travel anymore. He enjoyed making “Moonshine”; his favorite drink was “Rum and Coke”. He also loves working his garden where he grew collard greens, green tomatoes, peas and so much more. Sherman would sit on the back porch watching his garden until his health wouldn’t allow him to tend to his garden anymore.
Some of Sherman’s favorite foods were Bacon and Oatmeal for breakfast, Catfish every Friday, Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Cream, Chocolate cake and Reese’s cup. Sherman loved his family and always ended the conversation with “love you more”. Sherman is also preceded in death by his Sister Eunice, Creola and brother Roosevelt. Sherman leaves to cherish his memory siblings:
John Jr, Leon and Grace Stallworth; Children Deborah Ray (Leonard);Sandra Johnson (Willie deceased); Christopher Stallworth and Adele Stallworth. Grandchildren: Lawrence Johnson (deceased); LaTesha, Juan, Katherine Foster (Joe), Walina, Romel, Lescine. Great Grandchildren: AnJella SaLissa, Jacob, Keygave, Keyasha, Joseph (decrease), Joel, Jaylin, Anajah, Asijah, Mariah, Bruklynn, Shelby, Tatiana, Rome Jr., Chelsea, Santino, Destiny, Lawerence Jr., Lawren. A host of Great Great Grandchildren. Sherman In Laws: Robert Thompson, Jeanette Chavis, Geraldine (Sonny), Rudy (Babette), John (Janice), Larry (Gloria), Oliver, Robin Thompson; Host of Nieces, and Nephews and Great, Great Nieces and Nephews.
