Samuel Nolen, Jr. was born in Birmingham, Alabama on February 25, 1942, to the union of Samuel and Lillian Nolen. He departed his earthly life on April 17, 2013.
He was married to Mildred Wilson and together they had two sons, Anthony and Terence. Samuel will for-ever be remembered as a proud father of his two sons.
Samuel served in the United States Army from March 11, 1959 until April 19, 1962. He received an Honorable Discharge on February 28, 1965. He later devoted 32 years of service to General Motors and retired in 2000.
Samuel was an avid sports fan. Early in life, he played basketball. He also enjoyed bowling. He spent many years following the ups and downs of Cincinnati Reds baseball and Cincinnati Bengals football.
Samuel had three siblings, Kathryn, Joyce (deceased) and Leonard (deceased), all children of Samuel Sr. and Lillian. He was the father to Anthony and Terence, along with several other friends and family who live to cherish his memory.
Samuel touched so many lives with his undeniable presence, sense of humor and iron will. He will be missed, but most definitely will never be forgotten.
