Roy Lucas Mangham was born on September 4, 1936. He was the youngest of four children born to John and Isabella (Daniels) Mangham. He grew up in Walnut Hills, where he attended Frederick Douglas Elementary and Withrow High School. On December 31, 1958, one year after returning from an enlistment in the Army, he married Cornelia Jones (deceased). They were married for 59 years and had two daughters, Darlene and Natalie. In 1996, Roy retired from the United States Postal Service after twenty-five years. A jazz lover, Roy played the guitar and harmonica. Many nights were spent having his own concert as he played along with the various jazz musicians from his large jazz record collection. He is survived by his daughters, family and friends.
