Ronald W. Johnson

We are celebrating the life journey of Ronald Wayne Johnson. Born on July 3rd, 1966, in Sweetwater, TX to the union of Earlie and Arene Johnson, both preceded him in death.

Wayne attended Sweetwater High School where he played football, his favorite sport. Wayne left Sweetwater heading to Lubbock, TX where he met Beverly Griffin. Wayne and Beverly got married on June 22nd, 2001, in Cincinnati, OH, where they raised two beautiful children, Dammon and Ambri. He was a cherished employee at WestRock for the last 25 years, starting as a machinist and quickly rising to supervisor. Wayne was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and most times you found that out as soon as you met him. Wayne had the ability to reach people in deep and positive ways and made an impact on many people throughout his life.

Wayne was preceded in death by both of his parents, Earlie and Arene Johnson and his brother, Darrell. Survivors include his wife, Beverly, son Dammon (Shannon), daughter Ambri, two sisters, Debbie and Carol (Larry), three brothers, Daniel, Earlie, and Ken (Debra), and his mother-in-law, Juanita Griffin and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
