Ronald Nathan White was born on October 9, 1948 to Anna M. White and, the late Frank White in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a child, he attended the Laurel Homes Church of Christ. On May 9, 2016, Ronald was called home to be with His Lord and Savior.
Ronald’s devoted and loving grandmother Lunetta Brown (who precedes him in death) shared in his upbringing. He was the “apple” of her eye. She helped instill character, courage, integrity and to be respectful to others.
Ronald was a graduate of Robert A. Taft High School in 1967. Ronald started his career of 48 years on May 27, 1968 with Cincinnati Gas & Electric Company as the first Black employee in the Meter Department (learning how to wire meters). Ronald continued to be a loyal and dedicated employee until his death.
Ronald was married for twenty years to Marian Nix (who precedes him in death). To this union his loving daughter Rhonda LaShell White was born on April 18, 1969.
In 1989, Ronald met Sherrel Wade at New Thought Unity Center with his grandmother Lunetta. Ronald and Sherrel were married on June 9, 1990 at New Thought Unity Center. Ronald and Sherrel travelled the world and enjoyed life together. Ronald’s untimely passing was just one month shy of their twenty-six wedding anniversary. I will deeply miss my husband.
Ronald leaves to cherish his memories devoted wife Sherrel, loving daughter Rhonda, grandsons Caleb Kinney, Kenyon White, great grandson Josiah Coleman, mother Anna M. White, sisters Pamela Little (Bill), Gwendolyn Hanson (Joe precedes in death), Vicki Dawson, brother Duane White, aunt Doris Brown (James precedes in death) and cousin Sandra Bursey. In-laws Lois Brock (Herbert), Kathy Wade Jenkins (Dan precedes in death), Mariam Wade, Marshall Wade Jr, Bruce Wade (Marilyn), Sylvester Wade (Lynette) and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
