Rickey Greer

Rickey “Monty” Greer was born on September 19, 1971 to the Union of Gwendolyn & Rickey Greer. Monty went home to join his parents on February 20, 2025.

Monty was always the life of the party. You could always count on him to tell jokes, talk smack, and be the best dressed man in the room. He had a talent for befriending people. No matter where he went, you could always count on him to run into someone he knew. In his prime, Monty was the best tumbler and breakdancer in the city.

Monty leaves to cherish his memory: three sons, Montez Greer, Ke’Moni Greer, Rickey  Greer III; one daughter Mickella Greer; three grandchildren; Marlee Greer, Riley Greer and London Greer; one brother, Quincy Jones, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

In his last days he cut himself off from the world and preferred to keep to himself. He wanted you all to know, that he loved you all dearly. He just didn’t want anyone to see him in his most vulnerable moments. He wanted you to remember the “Spills” we all came to know and love.
