Richard Michael Wiater, 85, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2021. He was born January 21, 1936 in Green Bay, WI to the late Adam and Evelyn Wiater.

Richard was a member of Christ Church Glendale. He was a master woodworker and adored his two Havanese dogs, Surprise and Gigi. He and his beloved wife, Ellie have always been known for their generosity.

Preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Stanley; his sister, Lorraine; his second wife, Lorraine (Peterman); and his grandchildren Samuel Joel Wiater and Rebecca Ruth Wiater.

Survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Eleanor (Griffin); his brother, Adam Jr. (Kathleen); his children Michael Wiater (Deborah), Diane Wiater, Jeff Wiater (Trina), and Jeaneen Rausch (James) and stepchildren, Natasha Harris, and Bretton Lammi (Kristie). Also survived by grandchildren Nathanael Rausch (Amanda), Joshua Wiater, Natalie Kreutz (Kevin), Natasha Dailey (George), Naomi Wiater, Rachel Hall (Andrew); step-grandchildren Avery, Griffin, and Tanner Harris; great grandchildren Vincent, Ariana, and Juliana Rausch, and Havah and Naphtali Hall; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at Christ Church Glendale, 965 Forest Ave., Glendale, Ohio on Saturday May 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. with internment immediately following. Please view and sign his registry at www.thompsonhalljordan.com.
