Reginald “Reggie” Gene Brown II, age 37, was born on February 28, 1985 in Mountain View, California. He transitioned on March 28, 2022. He accepted Christ at a very young age and was baptized at Bethlehem Baptist Church where he served as a faithful usher and sang in the choir. With his humble and gentle spirit, he was loved and appreciated by all who came in contact with him. He grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from Forest Park High School. During his high school years, Reggie played football and ran track. He also worked at the Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store and then later worked at S&K Men’s Store, where he met his S&K family. He also attended Virginia Commonwealth University as an English Literature major. Reggie later served our country as a U.S. Air Force Firefighter stationed at Travis Air Force Base and obtained an Associate’s degree in Applied Fire Science.

After separating from the military with an honorable discharge, he married the love of his life, Atiya Jordan-Brown. Reggie and Atiya relocated to the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. While continuing his education towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology at Miami University in Oxford Ohio, Reggie started working for Amazon Air as an Aviation Security Credentialing Administrator. In 2020, Reggie and Atiya were blessed with a beautiful bundle of joy, their “baby girl” Josephine (Josie). Reggie adored his beautiful blessing from God, and she had him wrapped around her little finger.

Reggie is survived by his wife, Atiya Jordan-Brown; daughter, Josephine Louise Brown; parents, Crystal and Curtis Foxx and Reginald Brown I; Destiny Brown and Maya Brown; brothers, Jacob Brown, Damont Foxx, and Lamont Foxx; grandmother, Anna Johnson, father in-law Jimmy, mother in-law Vendella Jordan, sister in-law Alysia Jordan, brother in-law Tosha Jordan Mims who loved him as their own and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Reggie will be missed by his entire family and friends.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 beginning at 1:00 PM at Thompson Hall & Jordan Funeral Home 11400 Winton Road, Forest Park, Ohio 45240. Memorial service will follow beginning at 1:30 PM.

Atiya and Josie I just want you to know how much Reggie loved you two. He lit up any time he talked about you. After meeting your family and talking with a few of them, it is evident in the love that surrounds you. Reggie’s legacy of being kind, gentle, witty and an all around good man will continue to live on as all those who knew him keep him in their mind as I know I will. May you find strength as peace.

My brother and sister may God continue to bless you all and the family as you go through this most difficult time. We are praying for Gods strength to carry you during the loss of your son.

Reggie was my co-worker and friend. Reggie brought a gentle calm strength to our team. We will all miss your witty jokes that would have us all crying with laughter, your willingness to take on extra projects and never once complaining. We will miss watching videos and pictures of your beautiful daughter, it would brighten up all of our days. Especially the one of her shoveling snow and seeing the glimmer in your eyes (the proud papa look). You will be deeply missed my friend.

Atiya and family, may the Lord keep you safe under His wings as you begin to navigate this new existence. It is our prayer that God will comfort you and your family during this time. May He richly bless you and may the light of His presence be a continual source of consolation. The memories of coordinating you and Reggie’s wedding will always be with me. Reggie was such an amazing, happy soul and truly was a blessing to say that we had the pleasure in working together at Amazon. He definitely loved both of you SO much and truly believed that both of you were his greatest achievements in this life. Josie, please always know that your father loved you with all of his being and that he always talked about how PROUD of you he was! He would brag about your smiles, and newly learned behaviors and he just LOVED watching you grow since day one. You're his twin. Atiya, Reggie always talked about how accomplished you are both as a mom, and a businesswoman. He would talk about how amazing you are in everything that you do and how much faith he had in all of the things you set your mind to. I hope and pray that the memories of Reggie and his great accomplishments will forever be remembered and celebrated by all!

I only knew Reggie for a short time, but in that Time I gathered how much of a laid-back person he was and how much he loved his baby Girl, with the first day of working with him He showed me pictures and video of her. She was the light of his life! I hope she knows how much joy she brought to his life.---You will be missed Reggie.

I will miss working with Reggie. He had a smile that could light up a room. He was so kind and funny. My heart and prayers go out to his family. He will surely be missed.
