Phillip Melvin Gilmer (aka “Skip”) was born July 3, 1956, to the late Phyllis Gilmer Paul and the late Clifford Morris Jr., in Youngstown, Ohio. He had a grand presence coupled with a great smile; that would light up any room.
He enjoyed cooking (loved to BBQ). He had a big sweet tooth smile, loved listening to his favorite artists Toni Braxton and Anita Baker. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan no matter win or lose.
He leaves his wife Annette Parker Gilmer of Cincinnati, two sisters Kim McKelly of Youngstown, Ohio, Leslie Parker (Leonard) of Pataskala, Ohio, two sisters in law and two brothers in law Robert Parker Jr. (Tysha) of Tampa, Florida, and Bernetta Coggins (Darrell Sr.) of Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his mom Phyllis Gilmer Paul and father Clifford Morris Jr and grandparents Annie Charleston and Clifford Morris Sr., and Rufus Sr. and Cora Bell Gilmer, father and mother in law, Robert Sr. and Para Lee Parker.
He will be truly missed by a host of nieces and nephews, along with many other friends and family members.
