Peggy Moore was born November 23, 1943, in Pell City Alabama to the late Leonard and Cora Collins Harris. She was the youngest of many sisters, Bertie, Josephine, Flora, Ruby, Coretta, Birnell, Virginia, Emma, Fannie, Annie, Dora, and one brother Nathaniel.
Peggy graduated from St. Clair County Training School of Pell City Alabama in 1962. She was joined in holy matrimony with the late Terry Moore. To this union two children were born.
Peggy loved the Lord and confessed Christ as a young woman. After relocating to Cincinnati, she and her children joined New Prospect Baptist Church in May, 1971. Peggy served faithfully in ministries and sang in the Inspirational choir. She truly loved her New Prospect Baptist Church Family.
Peggy was an excellent mother, hard worker and great cook. She enjoyed sharing her excellent country cooking with friends and family. As a committed mother, she often worked two jobs to provide for the family and ensure that her children, Terrell and Marlia had a great private school education. She raised her children and grandchildren; teaching them about the Lord and the importance of loving, worshiping, and building a relationship with others. She had special love for children and those that came into her life, called her “Granny”. She was a proud grandparent in the classroom at Pleasant Hill Academy for many years after retiring from Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
