Paula Jean Everett, daughter of Paul and Martha Kirksey was born June 23, 1955. She was the youngest of three children. Paula departed this life on March 28, 2024, at the age of 68 years old.
Paula gave her life to Christ at the age of thirteen at Second Baptist Church of Rossmoyne. She is presently a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Evening Stars. She also sang in the Evening Stars Choir, taught a quilting class, and volunteered in the kitchen.
Paula enjoyed traveling, sewing, photography, quilting, and swimming. She was the co-founder of Sisters in Christian Fellowship, a group of women who retreated to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where God met them faithfully on the mountain for eleven years. She also enjoyed meeting close friends for brunch on a regular basis.
Paula’s greatest joy has been spending time with her family, her son, her grandchildren, and the one she has loved all her life, her “Big Sister”, Karen Jones. Paula began working for Cincinnati Gas and Electric Co., now Duke Energy, in 1974, where she worked for thirty-eight years and retired in 2012. She made many good and lasting friendships.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Martha Kirksey, and her brother, Marcus Kirksey.
Paula leaves to cherish her memory her son, Nigel Everett (DaVetta); stepson, Kenneth Everett; sister, Karen Jones; four grandchildren, Perrin Everett, Bryce Everett, Elijah Everett, and Alexander Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Molly Davis (Paul), and Peggy Spiller; beloved Antoinette Watson and children; lifelong friend, Florence Davis; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
