Paul Michael Thompson II aka “Lumpy” was born on November 14, 1971, in Lincoln Heights, Ohio to the Paul Michael Andrews (deceased) and Margaret Lee Thompson Garland and he also loved Herbert and Aunt Linda as bonus parents.
Lumpy gained his wings on June 12, 2025, at the age of 53 at Bethesda North Hospital where he received the best care for 28 days. He was a loving, devoted father to his kids and a loving grandfather, son, uncle, husband, friend, and companion to Monique for 12 years.
Lumpy attended Princeton High School and later attended school to become a truck driver and entrepreneur.
The love Lumpy had for motorcycles was undeniable. Edgewood is where he loved racing and watching others race. Singing, dancing, and joking were not his best quality, but it will be missed by many. Cooking was another great quality Lumpy had. He would pull up in his food truck trailing that smoker on the back. Lump was ready to sell some plates and at times would give out a few. Road trips were his thing, getting on a plane wasn’t. He actually thought he could drive to Jamaica (LOL), but was quickly reminded, “Not!”. With all the things he loved none compared to the love for his dogs. Wherever he went his dogs had to go.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Michael Andrews and nephew, Kyeir Andrews.
His memory will be cherished by his mom, Margaret Garland; stepdad, Raymond Garland; sisters, Catherine, Lisa, Jasmine, and Paige; his children, Naisiah, Anyia, Paul III, Zahmir, Stevie, Jordan, Stephon, Diajah, Maria, and Benjamin; nephews, Marcus, Quewane, Shawntaze, and Kevon; and a host of aunts, uncles, best friends, cousins, motorcycle riders, and those that made him a loving devoted father/daddy, Julie Ann, Bridget, Martha, Jasmine, and Michelle.
