Paul E. Morgan Jr. was born July 1, 1927, to Paul and Eddie Lee (Ferrell) Morgan in Chambers County, Alabama. Paul made his heavenly transition on November 24, 2023, peacefully at his home on Shirley Drive in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Paul grew up on the Alabama-Georgia line, between Lanett, Alabama and West Point, Georgia. At age 13, Paul moved to Cincinnati with the Martin family. Ma Edee Martin supported Paul through his move to Cincinnati, and with their additional support, Paul grew up into the man we all know and love today.
Paul joined the US Military in 1950. During his service, he became an Army Corporal. He served in the Korean War and was stationed in Japan and Korea during his active duty.
After his service, Paul began working for the Pullman Company on the railroads. In 1953, he met Loronia (Lois) Wilkerson. On November 15, 1955, Paul and Lois were united in Holy Matrimony.
During their 68-year marriage, Paul and Lois were blessed with two daughters, Debra and Paulette. Paul continued working for the Pullman Company and ultimately retired after 40 years. Even after retirement, Paul kept an active spirit and liked to keep himself busy.
While Paul and his fellow veterans did not receive the welcome home they deserved when they returned home from war, in 2018, Paul was recognized for his service on an Honor Flight to Washington, DC. Upon returning from the flight, he was welcomed by a cheering crowd of family, loved ones, and fellow military families.
Throughout his lifetime, Paul was known by many names and titles- Husband, Daddy, Uncle, Papa, and most notably, Juicy.
Paul would do absolutely anything for his wife, children, and grandchildren. Throughout his life he was extremely supportive of them and would always be there for them, without question.
Paul was also very outgoing and had an active social life within local churches his final church home was Tryed Stone New Beginnings (The Well Church). He was a member of the Cincinnati Rams Social Club, American Legion Post 631 and his Elk Lodge. He enjoyed playing baseball, working out and tending to his garden of fruits and vegetables which overtime he tilled with his family and neighbors. While in the home Paul could be found watching westerns, listening to the radio, capturing his family on film, and ensuring that his house was always a home to those in need.
One thing that never changed was Paul being seen as a distinguished dresser. For almost a century, Paul enjoyed “dressing to the nines” and kept up with the times- from zoot suits and hats, to cardigans, from bell bottoms to leather jackets with jeans. Paul was what many would call a “Classic Man.”
