There are some people who don’t just live life—they shape it, soften it, and make it more beautiful for everyone they touch. Patricia Yvonne Jones was one of those rare souls. On June 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, she gracefully departed this world and entered eternal peace. But her spirit, her wisdom, and her love will forever remain with us.
Born on October 5, 1950 to Ruth Evelyn and Walter Collins, Patricia was a woman of grace, strength, and quiet elegance. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Collins; her husband, Collins Jones Jr.; her brother, Gregory Collins; her nephews Gregory Collins Jr., Dorrian Hooks, and her sister-in-law, Cathy Williams Collins.
Patricia’s educational journey began at Hayes Elementary and continued through Sawyer Jr. High and Withrow High School. She later earned her GED, demonstrating the determination and perseverance that would become hallmarks of her life.
Known to many as “Pat” one of Cincinnati’s finest luxury stylists, she brought beauty and confidence to countless clients. She hosted fashion shows and was widely respected as an expert in personal style. Later in life, she transitioned to a fulfilling career at U.S. Playing Cards (1995–2015), where she worked with pride and excellence until her retirement. Her true legacy wasn’t found in job titles or achievements—it was found in the way she loved and persevered.
She embraced the joy of travel and devoted herself to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved 92 year old mother. A true matriarch, she took pride in maintaining a warm and immaculate home, filled with fine fabrics, elegant décor, and heartfelt hospitality. Holidays and family gatherings were her cherished moments—always planned alongside her mother with love, laughter, and their signature touch.
Pat’s character was rooted in grace and dignity. She was resilient yet gentle, particular yet loving, reserved yet radiant. To know her was to feel her tender hugs, hear her contagious laugh, and witness her deep compassion. In quiet moments, you could find her playing solitaire in peaceful solitude—a simple joy she loved. She had a gift for making the ordinary feel sacred. She loved deeply and lived intentionally, with a spirit rooted in resilience, modesty, and quiet joy.
Above all, Pat was woman of faith, wisdom, and regal strength. Her bond with her brother, Anthony “Tony” Collins, was one of unshakable closeness-fondly remembered as “The Gold Dust Twins” by their mother.
Her legacy lives on in all who were blessed to know her.
Patricia’s life and memory will be forever cherished by her loving mother, Ruth Evelyn Collins; her brother, Anthony Collins; her sisters, Renee Springs, and Margo Thurman; her daughters, Nedra Felisa Simpkins (Johnny), Alphea Kimberly Collins (Eric Todd King, son-in-law), and Antoinette Marie Williams; her grandchildren, Akirah Collins, Quran Collins, Jirah Simpkins, and Dorrian King; her great-grandchildren, August, Kimbella, Antonio, Arvonni, and Makayla; her nieces and nephews, Shawn Tina Marie Collins, Camron Cuningham, Gregory Newel Hill, Avitar Peebles, LaTosha Freeman, Keelan, Desia, and Kyia Collins; and a host of extended family and friends whose lives she touched with quiet strength and unconditional love.
