Nicole Moon Johnson was born to Ralph L. Moon Jr. and Marilyn Hatcher on December 13, 1974, in Cincinnati, OH. On March 17, 2025, at age 50, she transitioned into the loving arms of the Lord.
A 1992 graduate of Aiken High School, Nicole earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Xavier University in 1997. Passionate about learning and personal growth, she inspired those around her with wisdom, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to family. Her contagious laughter and radiant smile brought joy to all who knew her.
On June 1, 2002, Nicole married her high school sweetheart, Juel Johnson II. Together, they built a life filled with love, raising their three daughters, Jade, Jordan, and Jewel. A devoted wife and mother, Nicole nurtured her family with unconditional love, ensuring her love and guidance would resonate for generations.
Faith was the foundation of her life. Baptized at New Prospect Baptist Church at age 9, she later found her spiritual home at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, where she served with kindness and devotion for nearly 20 years.
Nicole had a gift for mentorship, shaping young minds as a soccer coach at Fairview German Elementary School and a ninth-grade science teacher at Aiken High School. Her love for Christ was evident in all she did, including leading a student to embrace Jesus as her Savior.
In 2007, Nicole launched a distinguished career in corporate America, excelling in leadership roles at Capital Analyst Inc. and Ohio National Financial Services. Never one to shy away from growth, she pursued numerous licenses and certifications, continuously expanding her expertise. In 2020, she began a new chapter with Global Atlantic Financial Group, where her leadership and commitment to excellence led her to the esteemed role of Assistant Vice President of Compliance. Her career was a testament to perseverance, ambition, and an unwavering pursuit of knowledge.
She is survived by her parents, Ralph (Karen) and Marilyn, her husband, Juel, and their children, Jade, Jordan, and Jewel, along with her bonus daughters, Kaila Lawrence and Morgan Johnson. She also leaves behind her siblings, Lavelle Hatcher, Yvette Moon, Tammy Johnson, and Jewell (Robert) Heath, as well as her beloved in-laws, Juel and Georgetta Johnson and a host of extended family and friends.
Nicole’s warmth, love, and authenticity left a lasting impact. She lived as a true reflection of God’s love, inspiring others with her boundless generosity and vibrant spirit. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
