Michelle A. Mays Joubert, was born April 16, 1968 to Ernest Mays and Vanessa L. Boykins. Michelle was the oldest of three children.
Michelle was called home with the Lord April 27, 2024. She attended Forest Park High School and Scarlett Oats Career Campus, where she received certifications in Business processing and Data entry.
Michelle brought forth four beautiful children. December 2000 Michelle would marry her late husband Aaron Joubert. Michelle loved motherhood and each one of her children for their unique qualities.
Michelle was a dedicated servant of Christ with a genuine heart and many spiritual gifts from heaven. Michelle was a member of Ebenezer second Baptist Church in Lincoln heights.
Michelle’s personality brought excitement, suspense, anticipation and adventure to all throughout her journey. She loved hard, with a kind spirit. Michelle enjoyed cooking/family cookouts, traveling, shopping, reading romance novels, music, spending money, driving fast and wearing expensive perfume. She was often told she missed her calling as a comedian because of her humorous yet sarcastic personality.
Michelle was preceded in death by her mother Vanessa Boykins; husband Aaron Joubert; grandmother Lettie B. McNair; and great grandparents, Joe and Leila Frazier.
Michelle leaves to cherish her memory four children Brandon Mays, Brandi Mays, Gregory Brown, and Amber Joubert; six grandchildren, Nyasia Whitney, DeAndre Rutherford, D’Aysia Rutherford, Na’Riyah Rutherford, Gregory Brown III., and Aalani Joubert; and one great grandson, Trevon Burns Jr.; sister, Renee Mays; brother Zandor Williams; three nephews, Kingdon Mays, Jabrell Johnson, and Zandor Williams Jr.; two lifelong friends of 40 years, Carla (Jackson) Williams and Taralyn Keese; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones to cherish her memory.
