Michael Keith Gardner

Michael Keith Gardner was born in California on March 28, 1961, while his father was on tour in the army. Michael was born handicapped, incapable of speech…just sounds and indications. Although he couldn’t speak, his sounds and indication let you know his mood and emotions. That was his language. That’s the way he communicated and once you understood his language you understood him. Then came the battles, some good some bad.

Michael was one of God’s children, our brother, and as a family we cared and loved him from afar, except his Momma Esther.

Momma Esther!!…enough said. Michael lived at Graceworks Corporation at Springdale Homes most of his adult life and as every facility and employee changes so did his demeanor. He had his ups and downs just like any normal person. In saying that, it was always his home and there were and are plenty of people that loved him.

Michael goes to join his paternal grandparents Esther and Otto Oswald Gardner Sr.; maternal grandparents, Henry Boler and Big Mama Boler; his father Otto Oswald Gardner Jr.; his sister Khalihah Abubakar, and a bountiful of other relatives.

He has left behind, his Mother Delores Gardner/Boler; sisters Rhonda D. Isome (Ronald) and Jonnita Gardner; step-mother Joyce Gardner; and his brothers Philippe Gardner (Marcia) and Brenden Gardner; and a slew of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
