Melody Ann (Dunn) Sparks, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Born on December 10, 1946 to Bobbie (Brown) Dunn and 

Edward R. Dunn, Melody devoted her life to others, a commitment that started with Cincinnati Parks and flourished during her long, meaningful career as a Kindergarten Teacher with Cincinnati Public Schools.

Melody is the beloved mother of Gregory E. Spark II, Geoffrey E. Sparks and Garrette (Sparks) Smith, and loving sister of Kenneth Dunn and the late Dr. Derek E. Dunn and Philip R. Dunn. She is survived by first cousins Gary L. Dunn and Terri A. (Dunn) Ferguson, along with 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, 4 nieces, 2 nephews.

The family is planning a memorial service in honor of Melody later in 2026. 🎶

Melody was a fun, straightforward, kind person who helped with a loving heart. Melody is so greatly missed. The YMCA Silver Sneaker Class also extend Condolences.
