Mary Louise Tribble was born on July 27, 1929, to Franklin Pierce and Cheril (Haley) Tribble (deceased). She was one of the ten children born to the couple; McClellan, Martha, Franklin, Ann Elizebeth, Mary, Dolores, Nelson, Alice, Robert (all deceased) and her surviving sister, Cheril.
She departed this earthly life on June 20, 2026, having accomplished all that she could from her 96 years of living.
Mary had a varied career of service from day’s work to factory work. She graduated from East Vocational High School with talents in tailoring and sewing that were always with her. She sewed for her family & friends – wedding dresses, pillowcase dresses for girls in Haiti, quilts and Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.
She married in 1948 to Paul Donald Casey (deceased), who was born on the same day and the same year as his wife. From that union were eight children – Denise, Donna, Ronald, Robert, Kimberley, Jeffrey (deceased), Darrell, and Christopher (deceased).
Mary valued commitment (do what you say you gonna do), excellence (complete the task you’ve committed to and get and use the right tools), being on time (or be comfortably early so as not to draw attention to yourself).
She served in the Choir (Choral Society, Unity Choir), Women’s Society of Christian Service (United Women of Faith), Cub Scouts (Den Mother), Gaines Christian Education (Sunday School teacher), Hospitality (meals to sick and shut ins, repast services), IHN (Interfaith Hospitality Network), Disciple Bible Study (all four studies), etc.
Mary traveled extensively with friends from work and from church. From Canada to Mexico and from Texas to New York; by bus, plane and boat.
There are many friends who will miss her in the here and now. There are several friends that she has joined as part of the heavenly chorus – Bea, Margaret, Dorothy, Anna, Frances. In warm companionship working side by side visiting the sick and shut ins, and hospitalized and serving incarcerated young women (Hillcrest).
Those who will miss her the most are her six surviving children, a very large host of grandchildren (18), and great grandchildren (40), Great Great Grandchildren (5) and many, many friends who loved her as much as members of the family. And too many to count of cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She had many nicknames and titles – Bill, Mary Louise, Mary L, Mom Bill, Little Bill, Casey, Granny. She answered to all of them!
