Mary Lee Hardin-Rhodes was born in Cincinnati on May 3, 1950, to the late Buster Lee Hardin Sr. and Mizila (Willis) Hardin.
After a long battle with illness, she departed this life on October 5, 2026. Joining her is brothers Ralph Harrison Hardin, Richard Dale Hardin, Buster Lee Hardin Jr., Phillip Elijah Hardin and sister Darlene Warner.
Early in her life she met and married the late Alfonso Martin Sr. Their union produced three children who are left to mourn their mother, daughter Mary Ann Hardin, two sons Alfonso Martin and Christopher Martin. She worked to help support her family holding jobs at Frish’s and later at Nutone, where she was injured and could no longer work. Becausse of her spirit and personality she would be the life at family gatherings or parties.
In 1994 she met her current husband Rick Rhodes after a long relationship they married in December 29,1999. She and Rick were devoted to each other, and he was by her side when she passed away.
She leaves to mourn and cherish their memories of two sisters Ida Webb (Thomas), Jacqueline Collins (Robert Hardin). Five sisters-in-law Peggy Collins, Devonna Rhodes, Paulette Rhodes, Debroah Rhodes, and Yolanda Anderson (Brent). Two brother in-laws Steve and Ronald Rhodes. Sixteen grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and other relatives. As well as a special friend and neighbor Gail Brown and Niece Kim Rhodes who visited and kept her spirits up during the time she couldn’t get around.
