Mary Canarie Gordon – Kenny was born on October 13, 1970, to Beulah Mae Gordon. She passed away on March 15, 2024, in her beautiful home while in the care of her loving husband, Foster Kenny. During her final month of battling cancer, Mary was surrounded and supported by her family, friends, and very uplifting co-workers.
Mary leaves behind her husband, Foster Kenny of 14 years. Together they had a blended family that consisted of two sons, Gary Gordon and Joshua Kenny. Mary was a very proud grandmother of Makai Jackson-Russo and a supportive mother in-law to Grace Russo. Mary was a loving sister to her brothers Robert Mitchell, Samuel Gordon, Ray Gordon, and Ricky Gordon. Mary also leaves behind a host of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends, that she held close to her heart.
Mary was a proud graduate of Withrow High School. She continued her education at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati State. She received her associate degree from Cincinnati State and in her final semester at the University of Cincinnati, when scheduled to receive her bachelor’s degree, she learned about her cancerous diagnosis.
Mary loved helping people and was committed to helping those in need through social services and community outreach. During the last three years Mary was committed to living a healthy lifestyle through changing her diet and exercise. She was an avid researcher on having a plant-based diet and using natural remedies. Mary shared her knowledge with others, knowingly and unknowingly changed lives for the better.
Mary will be missed, and her memories will be cherished by all who know her.
