Marc Anthony Colvin Sr. (Markie) was born February 10, 1966, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Alfred Colvin and Deborah V. Colvin. Marc was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system and graduated from Aiken Senior High School where he earned his high school diploma. At Aiken, he was a talented football and baseball player. After graduating he was offered a full scholarship to Tennessee State for his impressive baseball skills. Rather than accept the scholarship, Marc remained in Cincinnati supporting his family and raising his first-born son.
Over the years Marc worked various trade skilled jobs. Of them all, his favorite was as an electrician, he traveled the country, installing lighting at new Walmart stores. Another favorite was working as a machinist at Print Pack, with his father. Marc was a devoted husband to his loving wife Tracy Lee-Colvin who he married on October 28, 2017, on his grandmother’s (Gramps) birthday. He loved his children with all his heart, his family and his friends. Marc had a wonderful since of humor, he loved to laugh, listening to old school music and enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds while sipping a cold Milwaukee Best Ice. Marc knew God was real and in control and that no matter what, he knew that God would always be with him. To know Marc was to love him, he never met a stranger, everyone who ever met him was touched by his realness and down-to-earth spirit.
Marc was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Irma Floyd (Grandma) and Freddie Mae Colvin-Delgardo (Gramps); grandfathers, CL Colvin and Herbert Floyd; aunts, Irma Franklin, Shirley Kelsey-Stubblefield; and Patricia Slaw; uncles, Phillip Bowen; and Eugene Colvin; and nephew Tre’ Herschel Colbert.
