Mandisa Marie Gamble -Sarver was born on April 22, 1987 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the parents of Samuel Gamble and Kimberly Gamble (Maso de Moya). Mandisa was raised by her father Samuel Gamble. Mandisa was blessed with a brother, sister and many years later twin siblings. Mandisa accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Second Baptist Church of Rossmoyne. She went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2021.
As a young child Mandisa was a cheerleader and in her teen years actively involved in Tae Kwon Do. She obtained her third degree black belt and was one of only eight teens from across the country chosen for the Amateur Athletics Union National Tae Kwon Do team. She has traveled the world representing the USA National Team. From 2003 to 2005, she was a Welterweight Junior Team AAU member. Her National Tae Kwon Do experience resulted in her obtaining several gold and silver medals. Mandisa was highlighted in the Cincinnati Enquirer in 2003 for her achievement in making the USA National Team.
Mandisa was a graduate of Northwest High School in Colerain, Ohio and attended Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio and later graduated from Kaplan University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Applied Science. Mandisa also has a certificate in Medical Assistant. She has worked in various companies and held positions as a Residential Program Manager, Community Health Specialist, Care Coordination Specialist and Program Support Specialist. Most recently, Mandisa worked as the Director of Operations at Blessing Home Health Care Agency Inc. Mandisa loved helping people and working with the elderly population. Her clients will truly miss her. Mandisa would always say, “Don’t worry about me dad because when you get older you won’t have anything to worry about, I got you!”
In 2000 Mandisa was in the eighth grade and she met her best friend and the love of her life, Joshua Sarver. They started dating in 2004 and married in 2009. They were inseparable! Mandisa was a devoted mother to three beautiful children. She adored being a mother and spending time with her children, husband, father and family. In her spare time she loved knitting, gaming, writing and watching movies. In 2019, Mandisa started her own knitting company called Mandineedles. Some of her favorite quotes are: “Success is never owed, it is rented and the rent is due everyday, it’s a hard road, but remember you are your father’s, mother’s daughter. You CAN DO ANYTHING YOU’RE A GAMBLE! “ We will miss her laugh and contagious smile. Mandisa will be greatly missed by those that loved her.
Mandisa was preceded in death by her mother Kimberly Marie Maso de Moya and grandparents; Bonnie Thompson, Henry Lightner, Mary Gamble-White, D.C. Gamble Sr. Mandisa leaves to cherish her memories: husband; Joshua Sarver; three beautiful children, Cohen J. Sarver, Asher A. Sarver and Londyn M. Sarver; father, Samuel Gamble, stepmother Aretha Gamble; sisters, Chanda Gamble, Samantha Gamble; brothers, Terral Taylor, Samuel Gamble II; grandparents, Arthur and Brenda Cobbins, father-in-law; Darrell Sarver, sister-in-law; Angie Sarver, brother-in-law; Zachary Sarver. Mandisa has a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and coworkers who will truly miss her.
