Lucrecia L. Dent was born in Paris, Kentucky on February 3, 1945 to Lora Mae and John Leonard, Sr. She departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2013.
Lucrecia attended Paris Schools until she moved with her family to Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Cutter Junior High and graduated from Taft High School
Lucrecia loved the Lord and has been a faithful member of Christ Emmanuel for over 35 years. She was a member of the Seasoned Saints and also a member of the Senior Choir until her health failed her. She loved and was loved by her church family.
Lucrecia met the love of her life, Virgil Dent and they were married on December 27, 1963. They enjoyed 35 years of blessed unity until his death in 1998. To this union, one son, Desmond Zachary was born. Desmond preceded her in death in 2010.
Lucrecia worked at P&G for over 22 years from where she retired.
Lucrecia enjoyed fine dining, plays, movies and the symphony. Her guilty pleasure was shopping, but it was usually not for herself. She was generous, loving and thoughtful to her friends and family.
Lucrecia is survived by: three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John Leonard, Jr., Ben Bland, Sr. (Deborah) and Russell Jay Bland, Sr. (Rochelle); one aunt, Willa Bradley; nieces and nephews, John Leonard III, Christopher Smith, Ebony Whitney, Russell J. Bland, Jr., Ben Bland, Jr., Russell E. Bland, Lemarcus Bland, Amber Bland, William Bland and Uriah Bland; best friends, Russell and Penny Tooson, Trudy Glenn and Julia Caulton; special loving Creek Hill neighbors, Maurice and Atra Williams, Curtis and Marla Fuller.
