Lucille was devoted to her faith as a Catholic, baptized and confirmed at Saint Xavier Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. After moving to Walnut Hills in 1970, Lucille was a very active member of Holy Name Catholic Church, participating in bible study and other church-related activities. Before her 25 years working at The Christ Hospital in the labor and delivery unit in environmental services, she worked for Little Sisters of the Poor for several years, working with the nuns and members of the community.
Lucille and several friends from the Corryville Senior Walking Club would often get together for exercise and fun. She enjoyed cooking, Bingo, weekends at flea markets, listening to music, and reading books. There was never a time that she did not like to get out of the house to enjoy time at local parks, taking rides around the city, and spending time with her family. When Lucille was no longer able to attend mass, Sister Mary would visit her to share bible study and communion.
Lucille was loved and cherished by her nieces and nephews, friends, and in her final years, she was loved and cared for by the staff at the Cottingham Retirement Community. Lucille will be greatly missed by all who loved and cherished her on this Earth.
