Louis K. Johnson Sr. was born to the late Narciss Johnson and Louis Kindred Sr. on July 2, 1936. Louis was a cherished resident of Cincinnati, Ohio who passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. His journey was one filled with dedication, faith, and love.
Louis was a devoted member of Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, where he found solace and joy in his faith. He held a deep reverence for the Lord, causing him to never miss a service or an opportunity to glean wisdom from one of Pastor Cook’s sermons.
Professionally, Louis’s path was one of hard work and commitment. Louis approached his work with integrity and diligence.
The early days of his profession were at Queen City Barrel. He became tenured at UTS Transportation Service. Louis ultimately retired as an interstate and intrastate driver from Roadway in 2003 after 31 years of service.
Affectionately known as “Pete” to many, Louis K. Johnson left an incredible mark on the lives of everyone he touched with his wisdom and unwavering kindness. While his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will continue to be inspiration to those who had the privilege of knowing him. Louis leaves behind his beloved wife, Martha Hill-Johnson and his children, Roberta Wells, Louis K. Johnson Jr. (Vivian), Cheryl Evans (James), Karen Taylor (Robert), Carla Goodwin, Andre Hill and Carl Carey. His legacy is extended through his tremendous host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews’ cousins, and friends.
