Lorene Verdell Hunter

HUNTER Lorene Verdell (nee) Thomas passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the age of 71. Beloved wife of Richard, Sr. Cherished mother of Richard, Jr. (Denise), Michael, Deborah (Darrel), Lori, and her deceased son Ralph. Affectionate daughter of Cleveland F. Williams, Sr. and Susie A. Thomas (Willie J.). Loving grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 8 great grand children. Dear sister to Debra (Rev. Robert) Cook, Bernice, Walter and Cleveland Williams. Also survived by a host of God children, nieces, nephews, and friends. In 1999 she bequeathed her body, after death, to the University of Cincinnati, Body Donation Program for the purpose of aiding medical science. A Memorial Service will be held at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, 7080 Reading Road in the Jordan Crossing Mall, Saturday, November 8, 2008. Visitation will be held from 2-3p.m. with service immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Memorial Gifts be directed to the Allen Temple Youth Ministry.
