Loraine Henson Dunn passed away from this life on Saturday, March 27, 2021. She was born to the Union of her deceased parents Elmer and Rosie Lee (Griffin) Henson, in Dekalb, Mississippi. She had 15 siblings. She graduated from Whisenton High School in Dekalb, Mississippi.
Loraine moved to Toledo to be close to her siblings. From her marriage, she bore eight children, which included two deceased daughters (Patricia Dunn and Delores Dunn).
Loraine worked at Riverside hospital in Toledo. She was an active member of Braden United Methodist Church. People in the neighborhood loved her cooking, especially her famous sweet bread.
She later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, to be near her daughters. She worked at Mercy Hospital for fifteen years. She was a member of Quinn Chapel AME Church.
Loraine enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She also loved theater and concerts. Her passion was attending church and spending time with family.
She also enjoyed listening to gospel music. Before her illness, Loraine enjoyed attending church at Quinn Chapel AME, and when she was not able to attend, she watched services online.
She also loved playing candy crush on her IPAD and worked with puzzles.
Loraine leaves to mourn; her sisters, Faye Henson and Angelene Henson, children, Janice Dunn, Kathy Dunn, Fred Dunn, Jr, Charles Dunn (Connett McMillian), Howard Dunn (Deanna Dunn), Linda Dunn and grandchildren, Charles Dunn, Jr. Ireial McMillian, Antoine Dunn, Antonio Dunn, Tremain McIntosh, Otis Fitzpatrick Odell Fitzpatrick, Leonard McIntosh, Brittany Campbell, Immony Dunn, Howard Lamar Dunn, Jr., Ashley Jones, and Brandon Dunn.
