Linda Sue Austin

Linda Sue Austin, age 70, of Hillsboro, Ohio passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. She was born July 20, 1955 in Hillsboro, Ohio to the late Paul and Ruth Captain.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Gordon William Austin Jr.

She is survived by siblings Allen Captain (Shirley Captain) Cincinnati, Ohio; Michael Captain (Lois Captain) Hillsboro, Ohio; Barbara Jean Dent Hillsboro, Ohio; Marva Captain Hillsboro, Ohio; Jimmy Captain (Tina Captain) Hillsboro, Ohio; Ava Johns Washington, Courthouse; Aunt Theresa Williams, Aunt Sarah Captain of Hillsboro, Ohio and Aunt Lil Captain of Columbus, Ohio; Larry Eugene Captain (Doris Captain) Hillsboro, Ohio; Ronald Captain Hillsboro, Ohio; and Donald Captain Hillsboro, Ohio. She leaves three children: Jamie Austin, Gordon William Austin III (Falisha Austin), and Courtney Austin all from Cincinnati, Ohio; two bonus children, Stephen Austin of Baltimore, Maryland and Troy Gee of Charlotte, North Carolina; mother-in-law, Lucy Johnson; sisters-in-law, Cecelia Johnson and Julie Johnson (Yancy); brothers-in-law, Thomas Johnson (Baheejah), Conrad Johnson, Poncho Johnson (Joey Johnson), Mathew Johnson (Angie), and Johnny Johnson (Norma); two grandchildren, Kevontah Austin of Cincinnati, Ohio and MacKenzie Kaboi of Cincinnati, Ohio.

She is also remembered by a large hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Linda worked many years at Keebler where she retired. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, sewing, visiting casinos, and organizing family gatherings and reunions.
