I had the honor of working with Lila while working on our Church's Family Quilt project. She said she wanted to do it by hand and she was determined to do just that. We laughed, had tea and sure as she wished she learned how to embroider by hand. I'll never forget the bond that simple gesture formed. Rest in Heavenly Peace Sis. Waldrop.
