Laura Schueler was born on November 26, 1977, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the parents of Melanie Griffith-Taylor and Lawrence Bogie. On Saturday, June 7, 2025, Laura was called home by God and led in to rest and eternal peace.
Preceding her in death is her mother, Melanie Griffith-Taylor; father, Lawrence Bogie, step-fathers, Ronnie Taylor and Ramon Coleman; grandfather, Eugene Griffith; uncle Kevin Griffith; great-grandparents Donald Sr. and Willie M Tye; great-aunt Carolyn Tye, and fur-baby Mr. Bradley.
Laura “Ms. Good” Schueler’s light shined bright from the first day that she was born. Her smile, kindness, positive outlook on life, and willingness to uplift others lit up every room that she stepped foot in. She was our personal Dr. Doolittle! She loved animals and has literally nursed some back to good health, allowing them to live long, healthy lives. Most importantly, Laura did not play about her family. She loved her family dearly and took great pride in making sure that they were good at all times.
Laura graduated from Northwest High School and went on to receive a degree in Business Administration from Southwestern College. She became a personal stylist, fashion consultant, and make-up artist for several of her family, friends, and colleagues. Laura had the ability to make anybody feel and look good. She is responsible for many successful photoshoots and fashion show looks across the city, gaining a reputation for creating custom, unique pieces from scraps. She was truly one of a kind and will be missed dearly.
Laura leaves to cherish her memory: her siblings whom she was a second mom to, Duron, Reggina, and Bridget Taylor; husband Joe Schueler; fur-babies, Hersey, Bandit, Venus, and Pound Cake; siblings, Evan, Brandon, and Cameron Bogie; grandmother, LaVerne Griffith; uncle, Christopher; aunts, Gina and April (Mark); nieces, Daja, Ayana, Niomi, and Giia; nephews, Antwan, Dahvez, and Ca’Mari; cousins, Geno, William, Jay (Elizabeth), Brittney (Tariq), Destiny, Jimmar, Kevin, and Tenia (Sam); special friends that turned in to family, Justin, De’whitney, Shaun, Quincy, Amela, and Martez; and a host of other family and friends that loved her so much and will miss her dearly.
