Lamont Allen Gregory

Lamont A Gregory was born April 26,1979 to Marsha and Terone Gregory in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was one of two children with him being the youngest. His father gave him the nickname Monty which stayed with him until he departed from this life to return to his real Father in heaven. Monty gave his life to the Lord at an early age when he attended Landmark Christian School and was later baptized into God’s Family at United Christian Church when he was seven years old.

After finishing elementary school at Concordia, Lamont attended Walnut Hills, Roger Bacon and Western Hills High School. Following high school, he studied at Central State and Cincinnati State Technical and Community College before starting his own support care business and later building a career in retail. He was always on the search for a new business opportunity. Monty never had problems making friends. He loved to get around them to see who could outthink one another, they called it philosophizing. Lamont was a loving father, an extremely hard worker, a true friend to many and immediately liked by all who met him.

Monty left us on June 1, 2021 at Jewish Hospital. He leaves to cherish his memory: His children LaLea Jasmine Gregory (Nicolle Miles, mother), Castiel Zaila Jackson-Gregory (Lakisha Jackson, mother) adopted daughter Shanyla Montaya Miles; His sister Tess Harper and brother-in-law David Harper; His nephews Dorian and Julian Harper; His aunts and uncles Carol and Cedric Taylor, Ruth and Nathaniel Gregory; His cousins Cedric Taylor, Lisa Taylor, Cydney Taylor, Tre Taylor, Cecily Taylor, Maleika Hawkins and Angela Gregory. Lamont also leaves a host of friends and extended family that loved him dearly.
