Lacy Raymond Larkin, Sr., born May 22, 1932 in
Meridian, Mississippi to Eddie and Lela May (Whitehead)
Larkin, departed this earth on Sunday, December 30, 2012.
He attended Stevenson High School in Meridian,
Mississippi.
In 1951, he came to Cincinnati, Ohio and worked in
construction at various jobs for over 40 years. He enjoyed
fishing, hunting and loved Pontiac cars. He was a member
of Pride of Solomon Masonic Lodge, and was a very avid
sports lover.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and
Lela May Larkin; his brothers, James David and Cerona;
his sister, Mildred; and son, Lacy Raymond, Jr.
He was married to Bessie Hall on August 29, 1952 and
from that union, seven children were born, three girls and
four boys: Bertha J. Larkin Knight, Lacy Raymond, Jr.,
Sandra Larkin, Nathan L. (Renee) Larkin, Clinton L.
(Tracey) Larkin, Jeffrey R. (Shevelle) Larkin, Alisa L.
Larkin and Lisa L. Larkin, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; 16
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Also to cherish his memory are his sisters, Hilda
(Leroy) Cole of Akron, Ohio, Celessie Thomas, Dessie
Harrison and Esther Ruffin, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
