Kevin Howard

Kevin “Calvin” Jerome Howard departed this earthly life on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the age of 62. He was born August 5, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Clifton Howard Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Sneed) Howard. Kevin spent his early years dj’ing, cooking for his loved ones, playing sports, and spending time with family creating lasting memories with each one he loved.

Kevin graduated from Taft High School. He loved to play basketball and football, laughing and cracking jokes, and kicking with family as much as he possibly could. He loved music but his favorite rapper was Tupac. In 1981, he met Joyce Barfield where they had 3 beautiful children Te’Onn Sr., Chyrie, and Shanice. Already a strong family bond between the Howard’s and Barfield’s with their dads being close friends in and out of church, came as no surprise that we would forever be bonded . Kevin had always loved the Lord but later on he turned his life over to Christ finding his faith and strength within the Lord.

Kevin was an Assistant Manager for Lazarus where he found his love of watches, perfume, and electronics. Later, he moved to Springfield after finding his late Wife Kimberly (White) Howard. He found his lasting career in Springfield with being Regional Manager for Walmart where he was loved by all employees being the best Manager they have ever encountered.

Kevin was always a positive and encouraging individual with never a dull moment of laughter and being the life of every gathering. He was an advocate of “killing the noise” that may the good times roll on and always looked at the brighter side of life. Have a drink, a bite, a laugh, and a large lasting hug (have mercy if it’s a handshake or high five). You couldn’t keep a straight face or have a bad mood around Kevin, he can warm the coldest heart.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife, Kimberly (White) Howard; brothers, Clifton Jr., Jamie, Dwayne, and Cerdic; sisters, Linda, Kaye; and a host of other relatives.

Kevin will be deeply missed by his Children Te’Onn Sr (airionne), Chyrie, Shanice; Grandchildren, Te’Onn Jr., Tamryn, King, Empress, Chynah, Ahriyah, Tristen, Rico, Heiress, Ruler; Sisters, Brenda, Glenda, Melanie, Stephanie, Janet, Angie, Taffy, Tracey (Frank), Shavonne (Arthur), Mila (Williams), Lanisha (Mike), Latisha, LaTasha; Brothers, Etler, Dexter, Clinton, Anthony, Derrick (Dawn), Lamont; the Youngs, Vernie, Chandy, Boddy, Walter, Verdale, Acque, Sonya; Aunt Lillie Bee; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins, family, and friends.
