CELEBRATING THE LIFE
OF
KENNETH MALCOLM EVANS
Kenneth Malcolm Evans, affectionately known as “Kenny”, was born on November 22, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Clifford and Mary Lee (Radney) Evans. Both proceeded him in death. Kenny was the eldest of five children and grew up in Woodlawn, Ohio. The infamous “Zone 15”, which was the proud zip code neighborhoods for Woodlawn, Lincoln Heights and Lockland. Kenny attended elementary, middle, and high schools in the Princeton School District. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1976 and was a very proud Viking. He played football all four years at Princeton High and was also on the wrestling team.
Kenny accepted Christ at a very early age and joined Mt. Zion (Glendale) which was his family’s church. His grandparents, the late Deacon John and Liller Radney, were very strong and faithful pillars of Mt. Zion. Kenny’s parents and grandparents instilled in him the importance of loving God, loving his family and having a strong work ethic.
After graduating from Princeton, Kenny chose to attend Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Although he was nervous to embark on the next phase of his life without the daily physical presence of his parents and siblings, he was excited about the new experience. Kenny played football all four years while at Ferris and his parents and siblings would attend games as often as possible. He graduated in 1980 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
Kenny was very proud of the career path that he had chosen and was excited to work in the criminal justice world. Shortly after graduating, he obtained a job as a Hamilton County Sheriff. Kenny worked as a Hamilton County Sheriff for many years before changing career paths. Over the years, he held several positions at various employers and decided to retire in 2020. Shortly after retirement, Kenny chose to return to the workforce. He worked at Volunteers of America until his death.
Kenny was a very fun-loving and comical man. He was often the highlight of the Evans’ Family Gatherings with his karaoke renditions of Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye and others. He married the love of his life, Quintella Arnold, on May 28, 2016. He loved his wife dearly and she often joined in his “karaoke concerts” by either singing to him, or they would sing a duet. Kenny loved his family and friends and took advantage of every opportunity to be in their presence. He truly loved his grandchildren.
Our Heavenly Father called Kenny home on October 16, 2025, at Mercy Fairfield Hospital. He was surrounded by his family and friends.
