Loretta Katherine Ingram was one of six children born to the late Rev. Walter and Katherine True. She was born May 4, 1923 in Hazlewood, Ohio. She departed this life on December 31, 2022, at the ripe old age of 99 years old.
In 1940 she married to the late Zack Noble and to this union a son was born. At a very early age, she professed her hope in Christ and joined First Baptist Church of Hazlewood. At the end of her previous marriage she was united in marriage to the late Jake R. Ingram and to this union a daughter was born. She then joined St. Paul AME Church where she a faithful member until her death.
Katherine was a graduate of Sycamore High School and later attended the University of Cincinnati. She was a woman of great faith, highly respected and dearly loved by all. She was a quiet and reserved person and was a firm believer that you should treat other people as you wish to be treated.
Katherine worked as a corporate secretary for Alabe Crafts, Inc. and Proctor & Gamble for a total of 33 years. She served as a spiritual secretary for Allen Temple AME Church and Quinn Chapel AME Church for a total of 10 years, respectively. Katherine finished her secretarial duties at St. Paul AME Church for over 10 years. To God be the Glory! She loved her church and was a staunch supporter of all its programs. Katherine served as a president of the Missionary Society for over 25 years, an usher, a Sunday School teacher, a trustee and in the St. Paul Senior Ministry. She also was a member of the National Association of Colored Women’s Club for over 50 years and held offices at the local, state, and district levels.
Katherine leaves to cherish her legacy; one son, Donald (Lettie); one daughter, Doris Reese-Bell; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as many other friends and relatives. To God be the Glory!!!
