Johnnie Mae Dorman

Johnnie Mae Dorman was born on April 15, 1936 to the late David Buford Sr. and Juanita Groggins Buford in Birmingham Alabama. She departed this life on May 30, 2024 after God in his infinite wisdom, power and love withdrew his breath of life.

In 1951 Johnnie married Willie L. Dorman Sr. From this union were born seven children.

Once her children were of school age, she went to work at Streetman/Keebler (now Kellogg) in Mariemont, Ohio where she held positions as packer, inspector, and office personnel assistant until her retirement.

Johnnie loved gardening, bowling, sewing and keeping up with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Johnnie is preceded in death by her husband, Willie L. Dorman Sr.; brother, David Buford Jr. and daughter, Hana Lacy.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Willie Dorman Jr., Julie Harper, Christine Dorman, Carol Hendrix, Michael Dorman, and Jeffrey Dorman; sister Cheryl Reynolds, granddaughters, Amanda Smith, Monique Hendrix, Shelley Dorman, Elizabeth Givens, and Sophia Dorman, grandsons, Marcus Dorman, Eddie Givens, Ben Richardson, Edward Richardson, Joseph Harper, Dominique Dorman, and Atari Stoudemire; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
