Johnnetta Green, born on April 3, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of the late Johnnie and Pauline Booker. She was a graduate of Taft High School and later married the love of her life, Alexander Green, on December 29, 1951, and they shared a beautiful life together until his passing on November 5, 1973.
Johnnetta worked at Ford Motor Company for many years, retiring after a dedicated career. She was a member of the Church of the Assumption and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her parents Johnnie and Pauline Booker and her sister Delores Alexander.
Johnnetta was known to all as the “Bingo Queen,” her love for Bingo was more than a hobby—it was a way of life. She rarely missed a game and was known to light up the room with her enthusiasm and unmatched luck. Alongside her love for Bingo, she was also a fan of game shows like The Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud.
She was a woman of simple joys— loved to dance, travel, play cards and above all, she cherished the time spent with her dog, Jack and her family, especially those moments sitting outside with her son Twyman.
Her loving memory will live on in the hearts of her children: Turia Green, Twyman Green (Marlita), Taryn Owsley (Steve), Torrienetta Coach (Curtis), Tovarre Green Sr., and Talithia Green-Hamner (James). Johnnetta’s legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Shona, Keaira, Markita, Trevon, Nicholas, Terrance, Takiya, Taiqueisha, Tovarre Jr., Saniyah, Salah, Saleel, Saleem, Jade and Jada, with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
