John Harvey White was born on March 14, 1920. He was the son of John and Helen White of Halls, Tennessee. He was affectionately known as “The Silver Fox”.
He was a member of the Queen City Bid Whist Asso- ciation for 30 years. He retired from Local 265 in 1980, where he worked for many years.
John and Virginia (deceased) were avid members of Revelation Baptist Church for 70 years.
His parents, John and Helen, his sister, Alise and his brother, Odell preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn: his wife, Brenda; his stepdaughter, Nicole; his son, Michael Davis and his granddaughter, Margaret Davis; his sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruby Sinkfield and family, Judith Burns, Marsha Burns and family, Hope Mitchell and family, Willie Burns, Jr., Lashell Burns and family, Lavon Burns and family; mother- in-law, Betty Burns (David Burns-deceased); and a host of cousins and friends.
John lived life to the fullest and was loved by many. He will be greatly missed.
