Joan Marie Downie was born June 28, 1940. She passed away March 8, 2023 at Mt Healthy Christian Village. She spent her last days surrounded by her loving family and a caring health care team. Joan leaves behind her siblings Richard, Thomas& Joseph as well as her children Vaughn, Theresa, Robert, Michael, Dawn, Bethany, Joshua, grandson Dontre along with many other grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Marion Nosker; sister Rosemary & her children William & Jennifer.
Joan raised 9 children & 1 grandchild. She loved babies & animals. She was a homemaker. She also babysat many children throughout the years. Joan enjoyed attending church, crocheting, knitting, trips to the zoo & frequent visits to McDonald’s. Her favorite place was 1670 Rose Place. She was a strong willed, opinionated, independent woman. Joan was a great listener with endless advice. She touched countless lives in her 82 years and will live on in our memories.
