Jesse M. Hemphill

Jesse Marvin Hemphill, 79, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife of 35 years on Monday, October 6, 2025 at Mercy Anderson Hospital.  He was born on October 22, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Frank and Blanie Hemphill.

A dedicated professional and respected community member, Jesse was the principal of Hemphill and Associates in Columbus, Ohio where he built a reputation for integrity, leadership, and excellence. For 33 years, his work reflected not only his sharp mind, but also his deep commitment to helping others succeed.

Beyond his professional life, Jesse will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and the quiet strength that defined him. He valued family, friendship, and service, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Blanie Hemphill, brother Richard Hemphill, and sister Myrna Hemphill.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Ruby, daughter Tiffany Elaine Colbert (Nathaniel, II), step daughter Marlissa Nicole Crawford, Grandchildren Nathaniel Colbert, III, Kendyl Jené Smith, Willam Jaycob Smith, Justin Jesse Hemphill and William Jayden Duane Smith. Siblings Carol Burton, Frank Hemphill (Brenda), Gregory Hemphill (Sandra) as well as a host of loving family, friends, colleagues, and community members who will deeply miss him.
