Jeanette Henderson Billings was born November 14, 1923, from the union of the late Henry and Mary Ellen Henderson. Jeanette’s mother was the founder of the Macedonia Baptist Church, later called Macedonia Living Word Fellowship.
Jeanette accepted Christ as her Savior early in life at the Zion Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Rev. B.F. Reed and later joined Macedonia Baptist Church after it was organized.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Davis Billings on April 8, 1944. This marriage was blessed with a daughter, Denise Ellen Anderson.
Jeanette was superintendent and teacher at the Macedonia Sunday School for twenty-six years, plus she sung in the choir and was part of the Missionary Society.
Jeanette graduated from the University of Cincinnati. She was a Golden Soror of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
Jeanette retired after working thirty years at the Radiology Department at Jewish Hospital and was also a notary public of the State of Ohio.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Henderson and sister, Dorothy Cohen.
She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Denise Anderson; adopted son, Rick Doddy; four grandchildren, Landon Billings, Melissa Heard (Damond), Rashad Boggs (Adriane), and Runise Boggs; niece, Pamela Taylor; nephew, Vincent Cohen; 14 great grandchildren, Shalanda Renee Billings, Landon Jason Billings II, Carrene Rzepnicki, Khari David Hunter-Billings, Naomi Byrd, Lynnix Janel Taylor, Amara Mikki Boggs, Alden Ali Boggs, Gary Kinley, Gianni Kinley, Amya Thornton, Jordan Alexander Hogeback, Destinee I’reana France, and Kaniyah Tanasia Napier; 3 great- great grandchildren; co-worker and best friend of 60 years, Birdie Smith along with her daughter, Teresa Smith-McConnell; co-worker and friend of 60 years, Gary Conner; and a host of other relatives and friends.
