Jasmine Brianna Reed was born on November 2, 2000, in Cincinnati, Ohio. From the moment she was born we all knew Jasmine was destined to do remarkable things, and she spent her 22 years on Earth proving us right. Jasmine attended Winton Woods High School. During her high school years, Jasmine kept busy by participating in many theater and musical productions, participating in and serving as a manager for the cross-country team, and participating in Model United Nations Competitions and Mock Trial. She was also a member of her school choir.
Jasmine excelled in high school maintaining a 3.7 gpa and earning many honors and awards, including the National Honor Society, top of the class honors in Trigonometry and Physics, perfect attendance all four years of high school, and graduating with a honors diploma.
After high school, Jasmine attended The Ohio State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Disability Studies. During her college years, Jasmine enjoyed being a part of Off the Lake Productions, an on-campus musical and theater organization. She was also Vice-President of The Happiest Club on Campus: A Disney Themed Club.
Jasmine was an extremely hard worker and a caring soul, routinely offering help and advice to those in need. She chose a life of service and during her time on campus she helped many students with disabilities pursue their college education and served as a mentor to first-year students. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Jasmine went on to continue her education as a School of Psychology graduate student at The Ohio State University, maintaining a 4.0 gpa throughout the program. Her dream was to become a school psychologist and help students in need.
Jasmine departed this life on Monday, May 22, 2023. She is preceded in death by her great-grandfather, William Frank Reed and her great-grandmother, Pocahontas Reed. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Larisa Parker (nee Reed) and her stepfather, Larry Parker as well as her sisters Kairyn, Gabrielle, Quinn, and Natalie Parker, her grandmother, Debra Reed, and her Aunt Stephanie Ramsey (nee Reed) and host of many other relatives and friends.
Jasmine was an amazing daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, cousin and friend to so many during her time here with us. Although she was called home far too soon, we will carry her spirit, laughter, love and light with us in our hearts forever.
