Jared Alexander Brailsford was born to John and Tanya Brailsford on April 10, 1991, in Summit, New Jersey. He graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 2009 and attended college at St. Mary’s University in Leavenworth, Kansas and Cincinnati State in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jared discovered his true passion was working outside and pursued a career in construction. He was employed by Jostin Construction for seven years and they considered him family. Jared took great pride in showing off projects he worked on and was particularly proud of the FC Cincinnati Soccer Stadium completed in 2021.
Jared was a kind and loving person. He was the kind of man who would literally give you the shirt off his back. He loved playing and watching basketball. As a child, he participated in Karate and achieved his Black Belt. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was especially close to his mother. Jared spent many hours with his mother reflecting on life, and discussing his interests. He considered his father his best friend and spent time in consult with him every day. Jared loved his sister unconditionally. His nieces and nephew were the light of his life. He always looked forward to attending family reunions. Jared’s infectious smile and laugh could light up a room.
Jared was preceded in death by his grandparents Levi and Lucille Brailsford and Henry and Essie Thompson. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Tanya Spearman-Brailsford; his father, John A. Brailsford (Pamela); his sister, Jasmine Brailsford; nieces, Emonii and Madison; and nephew, Eyan. He is also survived by his loving girlfriend, Whitney Fox and a host of cousins, uncles and aunts.
